Celebrity Real Estate Wrap: Howard Owns the Hamptons

Monday, November 14, 2005, by Joey

2005_11_ripa.jpg1) Satelite radio salesman Howard Stern bought a 4.3-acre plot of oceanfront Southampton land for $20 million, but there was no house on the property. Insiders snickered, as insiders are wont to do. To solve this problem, Stern may have just gone and purchased his neighbor's house, which sits on a 4.5-acre estate, for $27 million. The six-bedroom mansion, with a two-bedroom guest house and tennis court, was sold by rich guy Henry Ittleson. Problem solving, kids. An important skill to have. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]
2) Now that Kelly Ripa is ready to take on Nicole Kidman's sloppy seconds, her old pad (right) in the same Crosby Street building has been put on the market. The family-friendly full-floor loft has three bedrooms and 5,000sf, and the description of the 22 windows as "double glazed" is making us really, really hungry. The price is $7.5 million. [S.Jhoanna Robledo/NYMag]
3) We knew that John Lithgow was renting on the Upper West Side while starring in a Broadway musical, but the veteran actor finally bit the bullet and bought a place in the Kenilworth, at 75th Street and Central Park West. The three-bedroom co-op apartment was listed at $3.495 million and will make a great pied-á-terre, despite sporting only "oblique side park views." [William Neuman/Big Deal]
4) With a name like Stone Phillips, you'd figure a triplex penthouse on Central Park West in the ol' Oliver Cromwell would be a perfect fit. But apparently the NBC newsman is not happy up on stodgy West 72nd Street, so he's selling for $5.5 million and picking up a sleek 4,100sf, four-bedroom condo/loft on West 19th for around $4.6 million. Hip. [Braden Keil/Gimme Shelter]

howard stern is such a fake.
he is a liar and a user.
all he cares about is making more money than anyone else.
he needs therapy even more than 5 days a week.
7 days of 3 hour sessions with a shrink will not even cure the warped phobic headcase that he is.
he should admit that he is bi-sexual.
why hide it.
he is a phoney.
he thinks the world revolves around him.
he is sick.
and he is a sad sad confused fartmonger.
