Real Estate Titans Eat, Chat, Get Stared At

A Miami magazine called Haute Living made the mistake of hosting a roundtable discussion with some of New York's real estate heavy hitters. How was that a mistake? Well, it wasn't, really, but sending us the recap might have been. Come one, come all and put faces to names as you gaze at such luminaries as Dottie Herman, Elizabeth Stribling and more! What are they all saying? Why, whatever you want them to!

Who is Jenna and Jessica? Wowza! Grr baby very grrrr. They should be the new "Barbara Twins". That would sell real estate!! (BTW does Fred Peters look like a chipmunk in that photo or what!)

This seems like a great event. How did they get so many heavy hitters in one room? Did anyone go?

I went. The venue wasn't great, but everyone there was big league. The guy from The Real Deal was drilling everyone with good questions. Slatin kept poking at the panelist who came in late. I don't know how he saw that.

I went and the venue was great. I was impressed by the sponsors Haute Living Magazine, Blue Star Jets, and Dom Perignon. They had all the top names except Corcoran. It was very informative. With all the bubble talk, it was nice to hear their opinions. Everyone was bullish, all 8 panelists were bullish on the real estate market.

Jen, do you work for them? There's a much bigger conference (even Remington, er, Lockhart Steel will be speaking) in January. http://www.inman.com/connectny Disclosure: I don't work for Curbed.

I actually work for Dom Perignon. I was impressed with the Venue, as they did a great job.

It is really interesting that people who make a living off other people buying real estate are all bullish on real estate. All brokers are bullish ... oh ... wait ... that is not true: I get mailings all the time claiming "now is the time to sell."
