Sealing the Deal With Demographically Appropriate Tunes

Thursday, February 23, 2006, by Jeremy

2006_02_sealsting.jpgNo one's saying you can get these condos for a song, but R&B/soul will be on the marquee at two upcoming condo-licious throwdowns brought to you by the people behind 20 Pine: The Collection downtown (Michael Shvo: the most differentest of "different" brokers!) and The Avery farther uptown at Riverside South, where Extell Development will be picking up where Trump left off.

According to the Times' Motoko Rich, Grammy winner John Legend will be making "Ordinary People" (?) shimmy and Shvo in the Financial District, while Seal is slated to rock an 800-person tent on the Hudson in the West 60s, where developers are eyeing a fall '07 completion for the new condo building (1BRs starting at $750K, penthouses $3.9m). A Corcoran flack admits that the "Kiss from a Rose" crooner was not their first choice: Sting, as noted in our fantastic graphic above, was unavailable.

If Seal brings his wife along I'm sure they'll get an even bigger turnout...
