Word on the streets of Brooklyn is that new development 110 Livingston—so beloved by Curbed commenters that this thread passed 1,055 comments yesterday—is ablaze. Several tipsters have filed alarming reports to the Curbed inbox concerning the fire, which started sometime after 11am. Unofficial building blog 53 Boerum, across the street from 110 Livingston, is on the scene, posting the above photos and reporting, "From what we could see out our living room window, black smoke was pouring out of what appeared to be the 4th and 5th floors. FDNY and paramedics were quickly on the scene." Developing...

Does this seem suspicious? 240 Park Ave had a fire recently and I believe some other new condos had small blazes. Someone out there unhappy with the all the new condo development?

Yes #7, it's a sad, pathetic gathering of angry, borderline sociopaths at times- a repository for internalized anger. I think today though, some of them have outdone themselves.

What is going on lately with all these fires? Must be NIMBY's conspiracy.

Uhhh the smoke on the left looks white to me and not black. The smoke on the right looks black and not white. That should be made clear. My guess is that it is the work of a politically correct arsonist.

It's a terrible scene out there. Ironic t-shirts, tickets to cleveland and PBR cans are all over the street. The hipsters must be desperate!

This comment is so unfunny I just had to say something.

Well, it IS wintertime. Bitter cold. And I'm sure the construction workers have all sorts of heaters and heat furnaces going. And, with all the debris in the construction sites, I'm not surprised.

Wonder if the fire is going to delay the construction schedule overall?
