Williamsburg: Where VHS Tapes Go to Die
Monday, May 7, 2007, by Robert

They weren't really for sale--although you could get one if something appealed to you--but we captured this scene on N. 6th Street near Bedford Avenue in front of one of the neighborhood development sites. This is not to be confused with the people selling things on Bedford, where you can, in fact, buy VHS tapes, vinyl, etc.

City Life,
Is there a place where Hipsters go to die? I'd like visit.
Is the guy in the picture a real live Billyburg hipster? Let me get my baseball bat and go medieval on his skinny ass.
Brah, you don't really know how a hipster looks like? You should get out of Gramurray more often....
I don't encounter many true hipsters in Gramurray and I just want to target true hipsters. I am tolerant of scenesters, faux-bos and other hipster wannabes.
The New Museum just purchased this installation for $450,000, the same price as a studio in the development it rests upon.
It makes me smile that people actually give a shit about their style and presentation in this neighbourhood. I mean, no-one wants to be a shrinking violet. Only people from Murray hill do. They hate that they dont stand out in a crowd and thus envy the "hipster". So, am I taking it that a "hipster" is someone with a great sense of personal style? So effing what. Get a life you dry ass cunts
where would i go if i wanna be a hipster? bushwick?
