The latest research on the man cave front is this: size matters. Shocker! Take Gordon Robinson, a guy who constructed a colossal one in the basement of his Tacoma, Wash., home. Why? "When you're watching TV and your wife's banging pans, it's time to build a man cave," he explains. Here are the highlights of Robinson's 2,300-square-foot subterranean wonder, which boasts $150K in cars and car memorabilia:
· Three restored cars, a 1941 Willys Pro-Street hot rod, a 1965 Pontiac GTO (on a rotisserie), and a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino. They were transported underground via a $30K hydraulic car lift that descends from the garage above.
· Four restored gas pumps from the 1930s to '50s.
