The London home where singer Amy Winehouse lived and died is now on the market, officially ending speculation that the building might instead be turned into the headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation (established after the singer's death to support her favorite causes). Located on Camden Square, the 1960s Palladian villa has only changed hands once before and includes 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a recording studio, and especially "well-proportioned" front and rear gardens. The neighborhood is generally thought to attract London's "haut bohemia," but is also uncomfortably close to the drug dealers of nearby Camden Market (where Amy Winehouse was apparently spotted the night before she died).
An anonymous source said that "Amy loved that house but none of the family felt it appropriate that they should live in it...it was not practical to keep it empty while paying for it's upkeep." Winehouse's family is asking $4.155M.
