Actress Renée Zellweger Lists Historic Hamptons Abode

New, 1 comment

Actress René Zellweger, who has been brilliant in such cultural juggernauts as Bridget Jones' Diary and Chicago but has somehow been a huge topic of conversation lately because her face looks kind of different now, is having herself an historic estate sell-off, listing her East Hampton abode for $4.45M mere months after re-listing her 1770 Connecticut farmhouse, which she's been trying to unload for years. According to Curbed Hamptons, who's got the scoop, the 2,000-square-foot house was built around 1900, though Zellweger bought it (for $2.15M) in 2003, entranced perhaps by its charming shingled siding, open porch, or nearly an acre of what Curbed Hamptons dubs "mature gardens." That, or she was wooed by the privacy promised by its gated entrance and high hedges.
