Whitney Houston's N.J. Manse Returns to Market For $1.5M

New, 21 comments

In 2009, pop queen Whitney Houston listed the New Jersey mansion where, upon being built in '92, she married Bobby Brown. Now, some five years after it first listed and another two since the singer's death, the house remains treading water on the market, with fairly unflagging interest coming from everyone—see the robust comments section for previous coverage—except, of course, qualified buyers. The 12,600-square-foot spread now asks $1.5M, or 60 percent of its initial $2.5M ask. The listing boasts lots of wooded property, a tennis court, and a pool, as well as a suite of pseudo bragging rights: Bravo's reality series Being Bobby Brown was shot here, and listing photos reveal an oh-so-1992 interior, with vertical louvre blinds sweeping across the circular perimeter, glass blocks in the bathroom, and a custom built-in bed on a taupe carpet platform.
