14 Buildings Proving the Chops of Pritzker Winner Shigeru Ban

Congratulations are in order for Tokyo-based architect Shigeru Ban, whose work, ranging from beautiful, innovative residential complexes to affordable, sturdy, and biodegradable buildings for disaster victims, has earned him the discipline's top honor, the Pritzker Architecture Prize. "I originally thought this is too early for me, compared to the other laureates," Ban told Co. Design, which broke the news yesterday afternoon.
