The latest in a blessedly long string of listings designed by midcentury modern honcho (and Simpsons joke) Richard Neutra is this brick-moated dollop of 1942 real estate asking $7.195M in Los Angeles. Like its brethren—that is, listings also begot by Neutra—this "Trophy Architectural" (because apparently brokers have made that a noun now?) boasts wood-paneled interiors and exposed beams, all enclosed in glass walls. The listing notes the 3,443-square-foot three-bedroom was "sensitively updated and expanded," which explains the ho-hum bathrooms and the bedrooms that lack the low-slung, richly-paneled luster of untouched Neutra designs. There's also, apparently, an "extensive guest house structure" with two bedrooms, an office, and a "day spa." Whether such additions are points to the good or not, the bones of a Neutra design are unmistakable here, and the photos are totally worth checking out.
