Perfect for the playboy man baby who has everything except for a way to keep from turning 35, this SoHo loft was once owned by an Italian count, prince, duke, and general man about town with the scarcely comprehensible name of Roffredo Gaetani di Laurenzana dell'Aquila d'Aragona Lovatelli, a post-Donald beau of Ivana Trump who was once described in an Italian newspaper as a "collector of girls, Ferraris and millions." Gaetani died in a car crash in 2005, after which the current owners of the apartment (a pair of bachelors, naturally) bought it for $2.4M. They later tried to sell it for $3.95M, eventually cutting that down to $3.5M. Apparently, the two dudes were so enamored with Gaetani's taste in decor that they chose to leave most of it untouched, including the "Ferrari red" kitchen, but no other buyers were, at least not for $3.5M, which is how this 3,200-square-foot two-bedroom ended up on the rental market for $15K a month. Might that be a bronze bull head affixed to the wall, and what looks to be a petrified tree stump suspending above the dining room table? Why yes, it might; the bull was designed by Arturo Di Modica, who sculpted New York City's famous Wall Street bull, and the latter is connected to an antique stone olive press.
