Cooking-Obsessed Couple Charred Their House on Purpose

"Katka and Honza are cooking all the time, so they decided to burn their new house as well," so begins Czech architect Jan Vondrák's explanation of the house his firm Mjölk Architekti recently completed for the culinary-enthused couple. Located 11 miles south of Prague, the appropriately named "Carbon House" features timber walls that have been partially charred, leaving a dramatic, multi-tonal façade. Photos of the three-bedroom home's interior, which boast no windows but only glass doors, can be found this way. [Dezeen]
