This Company Will Build You an 'Heirloom' Micro Home for $65K

New, 7 comments

Based in Portland, the Tiny Heirloom Homes company claims to be the first manufacturer of "luxury, custom tiny homes" in the U.S. The structures, which start at $65K and are made to order, were clearly designed with millenials in mind. The homes-on-wheels look like quaint mini-Craftsmans from the outside, while inside there are exposed dark wood beams, bamboo flooring, and brightly painted cabinets and doors. Each section of the home has at least two purposes: the living room is also an office and an entryway, and the ceiling of the kitchen—which has stainless steel appliances and a washer/dryer— serves as a bedroom alcove. It's all pretty cute.
