Tasked with revamping a modest Parisian apartment in the city's historic Montmartre district, New York City-based firm SABO Project deployed some of the same strategies they once used for a gut renovation of an '80s Brooklyn factory loft. Once again, the designers tore down extraneous partitions to make way for a multifunctional centerpiece: an all-in-one staircase, storage, and room divider. They've also brightened up the 775-square-foot space with a surplus of all-white furnishings, injecting color only in the cavities of shelving and the kitchen flooring, which is composed of 25 rubber strips in 14 colors.
