Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: South Pasadena, California
Price: $2,995,000
A brawny South-Pasadena craftsman designed by Charles and Henry Greene, the California architects who refined and popularized the style with "ultimate bungalows" like the Gamble House, was put on the market late last week for $2,995,000. Commissioned by the widow of U.S. president James Garfield and built in 1904, the chalet-style beaut is offered fresh off a "thorough renovation and reclamation" by the current owners, who bought it for around $2M in 2006.

Notable features include "a generous living room, dining room and chef's kitchen with pantry, a large sunroom, breakfast area, and study." There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms on the second floor, and in the basement, a "large recording studio/media room." The tiled fireplaces and and interior stonework are original, and there's a detached garage in the same style out back.
