Famed horror author H.P. Lovecraft was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and moved back there after a brief stint in New York City, into a house at 10 Barnes Street. He stayed there for the next seven years, and it was there that he wrote some of his most famous stories (including "The Call of Cthulhu"), and it is also there that you can now live, in a studio apartment for for $965 per month. Lovecraft described his apartment (probably not this exact apartment, but one like it) to a friend in a letter, writing:
As for the place—I have a fine large ground-floor room (a former dining room with fireplace) and kitchenette alcove in a spacious brown Victorian wooden house at the 1880 period—a house, curiously enough, built by some friends of my own family, now long dead.
