Certainly no newcomers to the kid-friendly interior design game, Taiwanese firm HAO Design has completed a family apartment that looks and feels like a playground. In fact, tasked with prioritizing a dynamic space for the children, the designers dedicated one side of the open living, dining, and kitchen area to a reading and play space. That's where stepped shelving (next to a full wall of shelves and a day bed nook) leads up to a sunny hideout and wooden slide. The understated palette used helps that corner of the home integrate seamlessly into the bright, natural look of the whole apartment. We just hope the kids won't grow out of it too fast.
