Artist Turns Classic Video Games Into Subway Maps

New, 1 comment

Even if you never played these games as a kid, you can still probably appreciate D.C.-based graphic designer Matthew Stevenson's mashups of classic Nintendo game worlds and major cities' metro systems. Stevenson was inspired by a little wordplay to combine the D.C. Metro map with Metroid, and then, having hit on a working formula, went on to combine Final Fantasy with New York City, Maniac Mansion with Moscow, Dragon Warrior with Lisbon, The Legend of Zelda with London, and Zelda II with Tokyo.
