If you’re sick of bungalows or ranch-style homes, think outside the box and consider a different architectural style for your next home purchase: the converted firehouse. These brick buildings have seen loads of urban history, often dating back to the 19th century. That kind of history means unique architectural elements, including big garage doors, exposed brick, and, often, rooftop terraces.
We’ve rounded up six firehouses for sale right now across America, some for as cheap as $199,000. But act quickly, these gems won’t last long.
