This all-white midcentury modern jewel box in Weston, Connecticut was completed in 1948—but still looks contemporary. Designed as a solo project by Edward Lloyd Flood just after he started working for the studio of Edward Durell Stone, an early figure in the American modern architecture movement, the 1,747-square-foot three-bedroom features an open floor plan, walls of accordion glass doors opening onto two lush acres, radiant heat floors, and plenty of natural light.

Though it’s most likely been updated, the home retains the characteristics of the era, combining seamless indoor-outdoor living and views of nature from its perch on a moss-covered hill.
