Hem’s NYC pop-up store is now open

Stockholm-based studio Hem has long been a favorite source for furniture and home accessories among design-minded folks, but its wares were only available through its website—until now, that is.

Last month, Hem opened its first North American brick-and-mortar location as a pop-up shop in New York City’s Soho neighborhood. Running until the end of the November, the outpost showcases the brand’s latest collection furniture, lighting, and accessories, with staples like stools by Max Lamb and Luca Nichetto’s Hai Chair among the offerings.

New items like hand-woven rugs made from New Zealand wool and cute poufs in various shapes and sizes are displayed alongside small ceramic goods curated by Patrick Parrish gallery and watches by Stockholm brand TID. Cozying up the scene are wall panels by from Swedish acoustic brand BAUX.

And since houseplants seem to be having a resurgence, a selection of them curated in partnership with Greenery NYC is also available for purchase in-store, right alongside stools that would make for a great makeshift plant stand. The Hem pop-up is currently open and runs until Sunday, November 26.
