Stylish baby crib transforms into a bed then a sofa

The Linea Cot was designed by Danish company Leander

High-backed and very Scandinavian.

Here’s a flexible crib from U.K.-based children’s furnishings retailer Nubie that grows, so to speak, with your baby. Designed by Danish company Leander, the Linea Cot begins as a traditional crib for an infant. Once the child outgrows the bed, it can be transformed into a toddler bed by removing one of the long sides. Then, when the toddler becomes a full-fledged kid, she can still use the bed—as a couch.

Constructed out of solid oak with slatted sides that gently slope inward, the simple yet design-forward crib is no magic baby whisperer like the smart crib Snoo, but it’s certainly still adaptive. The base can be adjusted according to the age and activity level of a child, like most other baby beds, yes, but take one side down, add a canopy stick a couple of years later, and you’ve got yourself a cool fort in addition to a high-backed seat that even an adult could enjoy.

A variety of bumpers, cushions, and fabrics available in a range of colors can be mixed and matched to create the nursery of your child’s dreams—or yours, more realistically.
