Gorgeous Paris renovation strikes balance between elegant and modern

The home is located in Saint-Cloud, just six miles from the center of Paris

Prepare to feast your eyes on an incredible renovation of a 20th century maison located in Saint-Cloud, a tony suburb right outside Paris (even its name sounds glamorous).

Combining Belle Époque architecture with a fresh interior design, the airy, art-filled three-story home strikes the right balance between elegant and modern. With floors that have been fitted with salvaged and restored planks arranged in a chevron pattern, plaster cornices completely restored, and those gorgeous tall windows, the 500-square-meter (5,382 square feet) is a French dream come true.

Aside from the pristine white walls found in many classic Parisian apartments, handsome wood paneling and built-in furniture clad portions of the residence. Other surprising touches include a swath of marble tiles arranged in a chevron pattern (complementing the parquet) below a floating fireplace, a tiled foyer, curving staircase, massive marble bathroom pieces, and hand-painted illustrations in the children’s room.

Helmed by Tristan Auer, the project also brought in beautiful furniture both vintage and contemporary by the likes of Silvera, Minotti, and Knoll, and a bespoke sofa and coffee table by Thierry Lemaire of Fendi. Take a look.
