Location: London, United Kingdom

Price: £2,495,000 ($3,096,000)

There’s always something enchanting about properties outside of the U.S., and this 1861 Victorian school conversion in central London is no exception. One of six units in a heritage-listed building by Vauxhall City Farm, the 2,306-square-foot home combines charming period details with a contemporary renovation that feels romantic.

On opposite ends of the dwelling are two soaring, double-height spaces with original windows that comprise the living area and a studio space, respectively, and a galley kitchen with periwinkle pantry doors tucked right off the dining room. Between the two spaces, on the second floor, are two mezzanine bedrooms with internal windows and a double-sink bathroom.

Floors are hardwood and the walls white (painted brick in parts), and the main entrance formed by a glass-roofed extension. A guest annex is set around the corner of a shared courtyard garden, a little oasis in the middle of the city. Located at St. Oswald’s Place, it’s offered at £2.495 million or approximately $3.1 million.
