Location: Chew Stoke, Somerset, England

Price: £595,000 (approximately $752,000)

This intriguing British design comes by way of architect Tim Organ (of celebrated practice Artist & Constructor, which Tim founded with his brother Bob). Built in 1970, the L-shaped three-bedroom combines many original elements with modern updates to create a light-filled home in the small village of Chew Stoke, just a few miles from Bristol.

The 131-square-meter (about 1,411 square feet) house is distinguished by bright-white walls inside and out and a soaring mono-pitched roof, which makes up the main living area and dining room. Here, the tongue-and-groove ceiling meets full-height sliding glass doors to establish an impressive great room characterized by bespoke cast-concrete shelving, brick fireplace, and a clerestory window that connect it with the garden room—also boasting floor-to-ceiling glazing—on the far side.

On the other side is a beautiful, spacious kitchen featuring glossy cabinets, aqua counters, and original tiling, which can also be found in the shower room, right off the entrance hall.

From here, the three bedrooms can be found in a row, plus the main bathroom with original blue tub and midcentury tiling. A garage, which has the potential to be converted, is found on this end as well. The property also integrates indoor-outdoor living, thanks to the aforementioned windows and the surrounding gardens and lawn. The home is offered at £595,000, or approximately $752,000.
