There’s a “grandma’s house” quality to this adorable 1927 abode in Astoria, Oregon, a port city located at the northwestern tip of the state near the mouth of the Columbia River.

Though it looks mini from the front of the blue facade, the home actually measures 1,800 square feet and features four bedrooms and two baths. Details are few, but the home appears to be updated in parts while some of it retains many period charms.

A spacious living room with fireplace, formal dining room, and a cheery kitchen with vintage yellow cabinetry and breakfast nook make up the common spaces, which also include a partially finished basement.

Bedrooms are carpeted (where the rest of the home is laid in hardwood), with walls papered in lovely coverings of pale pink floral designs or else a dotted baby blue, or otherwise painted yellow, or, again, pink. There’s also a moody bonus room with geometric patterned floors and wood-paneled walls.

The bathrooms are also predictably cute, with one wallpapered in a floral print and draped with lace curtains, and the other a pretty basic affair that nevertheless evokes a general sense of nostalgia.

Perhaps that’s what it’s got going for it—a feeling of the past blending seamlessly with the present, a home that is content to be the way it’s always been, but with just a few slight refreshes. Located at 1269 Irving Avenue, it’s offered at $349,900.
