Harry Potter fans, rejoice! The home that served as the birthplace of our favorite boy wizard in the movie adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows—Part 1 is on the market in the medieval village of Lavenham in Suffolk, England. (Harry’s muggle home as well as Hermione Granger’s were also up for sale at various times.)

In addition to its Hollywood pedigree, the 14th-century Grade I-listed timbered residence known as the De Vere House has quite the history. Considered the second-most photographed home in all of the United Kingdom after 10 Downing Street (the Prime Minister’s residence in London), the “cottage” was owned by the powerful (and England’s wealthiest) de Vere family from the 14th to the 17th century.

It features an incredible facade “jettied with exposed timber,” “brick nogging” (herringbone design), leaded mullion windows, and a very special carved front door. The interiors boast original medieval and Tudor elements, too, like an exposed-beam frame, painted walls, and a rare stone spiral staircase with a carved brick handrail.

The property is currently split in two halves, with one side acting as a private residence and the other as a bed and breakfast, but they can easily be connected into a single family home by way of two connecting doors.

The main wing comprises a great room, sitting room, dining room, kitchen, four bedrooms, and two baths, while the smaller holiday wing includes a reception hall, drawing room, kitchen and dining, and two ensuite bedrooms for a total of six bedrooms and four baths on an approximately 3,165-square-foot floorplan.
