Dazzling wine bar draws inspiration from Art Deco architecture

Though it wasn’t expressly designed with your Instagram feed in mind, everything about this new wine bar in Tulsa, Oklahoma—from the light peachy walls to the jewel-toned furniture to the glowing orbs that dangle from the wall—feels very of the moment, an admittedly photogenic one.

Workstead, the studio behind Brooklyn’s hip Wythe Hotel and upstate New York’s cozy Rivertown Lodge, transformed a former brothel into the posh Vintage wine bar by pulling inspiration from Tulsa’s wealth of Art Deco architecture.

Shiny black tables are sandwiched between olive-green banquettes and deep-seated gray velvet chairs. Meanwhile, a row of cushy green barstools face a locally-milled wooden bar. Workstead outfitted the space with its own orb pendants and sconces, which blanket the bar with a warm, glowing light that’s just about perfect for capturing that glass of natural wine on camera.
