Palm Springs, California, is packed with eye-catching midcentury modern homes, and the latest to cross our desk is this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath house. Located in the Deepwell neighborhood in South Palm Springs, the home was constructed in 1961.

The architect is unknown, but the 2,700-square-foot house features striking stained glass in stripes of different shades of yellow. At night from the outside of the home the glass glows like a candle, while inside during the day the stained glass contributes to the home’s light and airy feel.

After purchasing the home in 2005, the current owners completed an extensive renovation of the property by adding double pane sliders in the living room, updating the kitchen and bathrooms, and adding an outdoor jacuzzi and extensive landscaping.

The result is a blend of original midcentury style with modern amenities. Vaulted ceilings, polished concrete floors, and a floor-to-ceiling rock fireplace combine with the open remodeled kitchen, high-end appliances, and integrated speakers throughout. Outside, there is plenty of room for both lounging and entertaining thanks to the spacious pool and a 12,197-square-foot lot.
