A home known locally as the Harry Potter house in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is back on the market with a fresh look. Last listed in 2018 for $2,900,000, the 4,547-square-foot brick house sits behind a private gate just blocks from the U.S. Bank Stadium.

The turreted home became known for its Harry Potter decor after the owner spent seven years assembling a Gothic-inspired oasis of wood, ornate windows, and metal fixtures. Now, the home is back on the market—with a $200,000 price cut—as a more modern residence.

Instead of relying on Hogwarts schtick, the four-bedroom, three-bath residence now looks to its historic features. Originally constructed in 1911, the building was used as a blacksmith shop before eventually becoming a single-family home in the 1980s.

As the only stand-alone residence in downtown Minneapolis, the house boasts exposed brick walls, a loft-like feel with high ceilings, new paint, and an overall lighter aesthetic. The property also includes a large paver courtyard, a rooftop terrace, and a coffee deck off of the master suite.

Ready for your own Harry Potter house made modern? 247 10th Avenue South is on the market now for $2,695,000.
