Love midcentury modern style? Check out this four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath stunner in Richmond, Virginia. Built in 1955 for a psychiatrist and a psychologist, the house was used as an office for the couple’s practice. The doctor’s offices were located upstairs in what is now the master bedroom, while the family lived in the rest of the home downstairs.

Today, the 3,376-square-foot property has been carefully restored with authenticity in mind. Original architectural details abound, like the home’s cork floors, vaulted ceilings, and exposed brick. Several of the bathrooms feature original tile, and updates preserved the kitchen’s stainless steel counters and shelving as well as the wall units in the dining area.

The floorplan is open and bright; a sunny atrium provides plenty of light and leads out to the pool area, while the galley style kitchen boasts a seated peninsula that overlooks the dining room. Other perks include a renovated master, a one-car garage, and an in-ground heated swimming pool on the half-acre lot.

It’s a cheery and tasteful take on midcentury style, and 26 Malvern Avenue is on the market for $799,500.
