Van life is booming. Blame Instagram or trend-conscious millennials, but more and more potential RV owners are turning to Class B camper vans instead of travel trailers or larger Class A RVs. Along with the rise of people DIY-ing their own vans or buying custom rigs, some companies are capitalizing on van life by offering a different service: camper van vacation rentals. Love campers and trailers? Come join our community group.

We’ve reported on camper van rentals in the past, but now we’re seeing brand-specific rentals. Similar to how Moterra Campervans rents out Sportsmobiles, the latest company to cross our desk is Montana-based Blacksford.

Blacksford specializes in rentals exclusively from Winnebago, only renting out the Winnebago Revel and the Winnebago View. The Revel is a go-anywhere adventure van that sleeps two, built on the 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis and with plenty of off-road capabilities to get you where you want to be. The View is a more luxurious RV for couples and families, with more space due to its Class C size.

All of Blacksford’s rentals are one year or less old with fever than 50,000 miles, ensuring that you’ll be vacationing in an almost brand-new model.

Blacksford currently bases its rentals out of two airports: One in Bozeman, Montana, and the other in St. George, Utah. From these two locations you can access a plethora of national parks and wilderness areas, including Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Zion National Park. The company also plans to expand and be in nearly a dozen other airports in the next two years.

This makes the rental process much smoother than with some companies; Blacksford meets you at the gate and walks you to the RV. It also offer bike rentals, 24/7 roadside assistance, and kid-focused products—think pack and plays or games—as options.

A fully outfitted Revel rentals cost $359 per day and the Views cost $499 per day. These prices include unlimited miles, a national parks pass, and all the dishes and bedding you might need.

Blacksford also offers a “seasonaLease” for four, six, or 12 months at a time that include the lease of a brand new unit, 2,000 miles per month, and insurance and taxes included. Terms vary, but renting a 2020 Revel for four months starts at $2,500 down and costs $1,500 per month. For more info, head over here.

The Winnebago View is a larger Class C option available for rent through Blacksford.
