HGTV’s resident minimalist, Leanne Ford, is known for her breezy Los Angeles style—think rattan, pale wood, and lots and lots of white. It makes sense then that when Crate & Barrel tapped the star of HGTV’s Restored by the Fords to design a collection, the ensuing goods would hew closely to Ford’s signature style.
Ford worked with Crate & Barrel’s VP of design, Sebastian Brauer, on the recently debuted collection, and it’s filled with pieces that toe the line between pared back and playful. The 109-piece collection covers a wide range of products, including dining room tables, bedding, seating, and decor accessories. Ford’s predilection for light colors and soft shapes takes center stage with a cushy white sofa that looks just a little bit lived-in, bent cane chairs, and pale wood curved dressers and armoires.
There’s the occasional splash of black in the collection, in the form of a hefty dining room table, arched canopy bed, and rounded bar cabinet. “A moment or two of black in a room keeps things grounded,” Ford said.
You could go all out and fill a room with Ford’s pieces—they’re classic enough to be the anchor. But there’s also plenty of striking finds (a plaster side table that brings to mind a carved sculpture, for instance) that will make for the perfect accent to whatever you already have going on.
You can check out the entire collection over at Crate & Barrel.
