Alan Eckstein, founder of the Somerset House, a vintage-furniture boutique in Williamsburg, and his wife, stylist Haley Loewenthal, are both completely obsessed with this candy — a “delicious take on the traditional Swedish fish.”
The couple found these edible “little gems,” as Eckstein calls them, at BonBon candy shop on the Lower East Side. “The packaging caught our eye, as did the idea of an artisanal Swedish fish with elderflower, a flavor we love,” he says. “The flavor is subtle, not too sugary or overpowering.”
Kolsvart’s elderflower candies are ideal special-occasion candies, Eckstein says. The couple is having a bar stocked with them and other favorites from BonBon at Loewenthal’s upcoming bridal shower.
