Welcome to Curbed’s Advent-calendar gift guide. For each of the 25 weekdays before Christmas, we will be doling out, one by one, the gifts recommended by dozens of design bigwigs with extremely good taste. So keep checking in daily for new drops.
Caron Woolsey, founder and principal designer of Houston-based CW Interiors, suggests this sleek, space-saving decanter that stores two spirits in separate, vertically stacked chambers. (She would fill one section with whiskey and the other with gin.)
“Stacking decanters have been around for a while, but the updated lines of this one make it stand out from more traditional leaded-glass versions,” Woolsey says. She would put this on an acrylic-and-brass bar cart, though it should work with basically any sort of bar setup. “The simplicity of the clear glass means this decanter would work well in most any barscape, but its generously sized stopper means it would fit in modern settings as well,” Woolsey says.
If you want to make it a generous twofer and gift some glassware along with the decanter, Woolsey suggests these Jonathan Adler Cabana Rocks glasses in white.
