Welcome to Curbed’s Advent-calendar gift guide. Over the course of the next 25 days, we will be doling out, one by one, the gifts recommended by dozens of design bigwigs with extremely good taste. So keep checking in daily for new drops.
“I don’t have any of Lisa Hunt’s prints yet, but her work is high on my wish list,” says Eva Sonaike, a London-based interior and textiles designer. In particular, she hopes to receive — or plans to buy herself — this graphic print, which is screen-printed with hand-applied 24-karat gold leaf. “The colors and pattern are very strong,” Sonaike says. “Perfect, I think, for an entrance space — I’d put it in the hallway or on top of my console.”
The fact that it’s extremely limited edition appeals as well. “It’s signed, dated, and numbered as one of ten,” she says. Hunt, a Brooklyn-based artist who has shown work at galleries across the country, has a few other pieces for sale on the site — like this geometric hourglass print in turquoise and this pair of panels printed with gold metallic ink.
