Eric Adams Hates Remote Work So Much

On Wednesday Mayor Eric Adams once again pushed for remote workers to return to the office, this time by making fun of them. “You can’t stay at home in your pajamas all day,” he said. “That’s not who we are as a city.” Adams has criticized remote work repeatedly before: “It’s time to get back to work,” he said earlier this month. “The time frame is now. I’m going to work.” But roasting is a new tactic.

Okay, so he hates soft, cozy clothes and working where you sleep. But he has also said that he spent the “entire day” after the mayoral primary in his pajamas and kept a mattress in his office. Which is it, Mr. Mayor?
