With the South by Southwest festival kicking off today, there's no better time to take a look at some of the host city's most noteworthy design destinations. Long considered an offbeat city in conservative Texas, Austin boasts a burgeoning design scene, along with trendy shops, new museums, and stylish hotels, like the Hotel Saint Cecilia (above) and its soulful pool area. Before SXSW-goers get too bogged down in the festival's fun times, they'd do well to take a look around this aesthetically pleasing southern state capital.
